WHO IS "L'ITALIANO"

My name is Rosario Alessio and I’m Italian. I was born and raised in Palermo, Sicily, the biggest island and region in Italy. A place where food is not just something you eat, it’s something you live. It’s in the laughter around the table, in the long conversations, in the simple moments that turn into lifelong memories. That’s where my story begins. As a kid, I always dreamed of traveling the world, bringing a piece of Italy with me wherever I went. After my studies in Economics and Tourism, I followed that dream across countries like Spain, France, Greece, and Canada. I experienced different cultures, tasted incredible food, but no matter how far I went, I realized something important: Italy was never just a place for me. It was a feeling I carried inside. Cooking has always been my way of expressing that feeling. Over the years, I worked in Italian restaurants, learning every detail, refining my skills, and growing my passion. But deep down, I knew I wanted to create something more personal, something real. That’s how L'Italiano was born: not just a food truck, but a way to share the soul of Italy, one plate at a time. Along the way, this journey became even more special. I met my wife, and together with our daughter, what started as a dream turned into a true family business. Today, every dish we serve is made with the same love, care, and passion that we share at home. This isn’t just our work, it’s our life. Serving the community across Washington State has been an incredible honor, but what truly means the most to me is the connection. Seeing people smile, watching strangers become friends over a plate of pasta, feeling that moment when food brings people closer, that’s everything. That’s the real magic of Italian cuisine. And yes… the guy in the photo? That’s me. A few years younger but already dreaming about all of this. From our family to you, every bite is more than just food, it’s a story, a memory, a family tradition, a small piece of Italy meant to be shared.
